A favorite pleasure cruise destination, Turkey
has over 5000 years of history, culture and mythology to discover.
Sail through a landscape that combines rocky coasts with long white sandy beaches and beautiful bays, historic sites and underwater ruins, ancient cities and Byzantine remains.
Starting at Marmaris, your first port of call will be Ekinçik. Located in a large cove encircled by steep mountains, this is an imposing setting overlooked by a ochre-red cliff where oleander flowers. Nearby inland, reach the ruins of ancient Caunus by means of a short local boat trip along the Dalyan river, then visit Göcek, an inlet bordered by pine trees at the end of the gulf of Fethiye. Set sail for the island of Gemiler where you can visit the ruins of a Byzantine medieval city. Your cook will delight you with deliciously spiced mixed salads, stuffed aubergines and «kebabs», followed by sliced «baklava» covered with honey and pistachios. Of course, you must try the Turkish Delight and Raki which will be in abundance wherever you go!
